About the service
Commander Shuttle is a private transfer service in Cape Town and the Western Cape, South Africa. We own the vehicles and employ local English-speaking driver experts. The office is on the line 24/7.
Services: airport transfers, wine tours, Cape Point and Hermanus day trips, Garden Route, multi-day overlanding. Routes and prices listed on the site; the final price is locked in at booking confirmation.
Bookings
A booking is confirmed after a 30% deposit is received. Before deposit the status is "awaiting confirmation" and either side may cancel without explanation.
Changes are free up to 24 hours before departure. Later changes follow the cancellation policy below.
Payment
Bank transfer (ZAR/USD/EUR), cash on the day, Revolut, Wise. Card payments add a 3% processing fee. Crypto by prior arrangement.
The 30% deposit confirms the booking. The remaining 70% is due on the day of travel. Receipts on request.
Cancellation and refund
More than 48 hours before departure: 100% refund of the deposit. 24 to 48 hours: 50% refund. Less than 24 hours or no-show: deposit forfeited.
Force majeure (flight delays or cancellations, illness with proof, extreme weather) qualifies for full refund or free rebooking at the office's discretion.
Liability
Every vehicle carries full passenger insurance for the trip. In a non-fault accident the driver and insurer are liable. Commander Shuttle is not liable for delays caused by force majeure beyond our control (weather, protests, road closures).
You are responsible for your personal belongings in the vehicle. Items left behind are held for up to 14 days and returned on request; return shipping at your expense.
Conduct
The driver may terminate the trip for aggressive passenger behaviour, smoking/drinking/drug use in the vehicle, or safety threats. The office will record the decision and no refund is issued in those cases. Child seats are free on request at booking.
Complaints and disputes
First step: email the office at [email protected]. We respond within 48 hours. Unresolved disputes are settled in the courts of Cape Town, South Africa.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Personal data matters follow POPIA (South Africa) and GDPR (EU) depending on the customer's jurisdiction. See the Privacy Policy.
