Cape Point is the south-western tip of the African continent. The light house at Cape Point is not, despite the tourist photos, the southernmost point of Africa (that's Cape Agulhas, 200 km further along the coast), but it is the older and more dramatic of the two headlands. The drive from CPT airport goes through the Kommetjie suburbs and, if you have time, over the iconic Chapman's Peak Drive on the Atlantic seaboard side. We'll pair Cape Point with a Boulders Beach penguin colony stop on request — it's a 10-minute detour and one of the most photographed African wildlife experiences with zero walking distance. Bring a wind breaker: the cape is windy year-round.

Can Cape Point be a full day tour?
Yes, and it usually is. A proper Cape Point day includes Boulders Beach penguins, the Cape Point lighthouse, Cape of Good Hope viewpoint, and optional stops at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens on the way back. Plan 8-9 hours, price 3800-4200 ZAR for a Quantum.
Is the Cape Point park entrance fee included?
No. The Table Mountain National Park entrance fee (about 360 ZAR per adult, 185 per child) is paid at the gate. It's separate from the transfer price and non-negotiable — it's a national park.
Are the baboons dangerous?
The chacma baboons at Cape Point are wild and opportunistic. Keep vehicle doors and windows closed, don't carry food in the open, don't try to feed or photograph them up close. Your driver will warn you when we enter baboon territory.
How does payment work?
30% prepayment is required to confirm a booking (bank transfer or card). The 70% balance is due on the day of your trip, in cash (ZAR, USD, EUR), by bank transfer, or by card.
Is the light good for photos at Cape Point?
Best light is 2-3 hours before sunset — the cliffs glow orange-red against the Atlantic. Our drivers know the photographer-friendly pullouts on Chapman's Peak and at the lighthouse.
